Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA) is a national non-profit organization focused on empowering communities and ultimately building a better world through engineering projects. Our mission is to provide pathways for opportunities for struggling communities in order for them to sustainably meet their basic human needs and equip leaders to solve the world’s most pressing challenges.
Florida International University’s EWB Student Chapter (EWB-FIU) adopted a water-quality project in Jinotega, Nicaragua within the community of El Chimborazo in March 2017. To read more about our trip, go to “Our Project.”
Our chapter consists of FIU students of all majors, mostly civil, environmental, and mechanical engineering. We encourage those who have a passion for helping others while gaining experience with real-world projects to join our team! We are actively working on a solution for El Chimborazo’s water-quality problem.
Welcome to EWB FIU!
